Madal

This place is undoubtedly one of the best places to get your speciality coffee. Even Mark Ruffalo visited the café.

The owners of Madal love Italian coffee but wanted to represent the so-called new-wave cafés. So, they opened their speciality café in 2013. Their journey was not easy, though. Speciality cafés were not really mainstream in Hungary, and finding the best coffee machine and coffee grinder was crucial. Of course, they make sure that the coffee is of the best quality. Now, they use their own roasted speciality coffee.

The café seems to be a welcoming place where baristas are not only professional but also try to make drinking your cup of coffee an experience. I am sure we have all had our moments of disappointment when someone was kind of grumpy at an otherwise nice place, but what Madal offers is a truly good service.

That was the good news. Now, the better news is that you can also buy their coffee in packages of 200 grams. And the best news is that Madal has three locations in Budapest.

Bookworms will adore this place. The café is filled with books, and they regularly participate in campaigns, host events or exhibitions. Customers absolutely love Kelet. They express positive opinions about the coffee, drinks, food, and the fact that they can chill and read the books available. Empathy Café & Bistro

This place is the result of a Hungarian Red Cross initiative to create a social space for people coming from various backgrounds. The idea of the café is closely linked to the seven important principles of Red Cross: humanity, impartiality, neutrality, independence, voluntary service, unity, and universality. This is reflected in the events hosted at the café. One such event was providing the opportunity to donate blood at the café. 

The atmosphere of the place is very quiet, calm, and simple. The baristas are very friendly, kind, and make really good coffee. They always have a nice word to say, and once you walk in, you will notice a welcoming vibe. It is the ideal place to just chill, meet a friend for a coffee or even to study there. It is kind of a quiet place to take a break from a busy schedule and allow yourself to recharge with a short break and a cup of magical coffee.

This place is very simple, calm and cosy. You can have a cup of coffee, order breakfast or just chill and start your day with good vibes. The place is just a few steps away from Astoria, so finding it should be super easy. After you finish your cup of coffee, you can explore some tourist attractions that are not too far away by public transport or by a slightly longer walk.

Great service, friendly staff, the best quality coffee. Sounds like exactly what customers need. The name of the café should not deceive you, any type of coffee tastes great, not just their espresso. Whenever you want to drink a cup of coffee or you just need a coffee to go and help you get through a busy day, Espresso Embassy might be the place for you. If you buy your coffee to go, you can simply take a walk to the Basilica and take some pictures.

Okay, this place on the list is a little bit different. And by different, I mean that this really awesome place is not exactly the textbook example of a coffee shop or café. Nevertheless, you really need to go there at least once if you are in Budapest. You will love hanging out at Csendes and enjoy your coffee, drink, food or anything you order, not to mention how fun the interior looks. Well, instead of writing about it in superlatives for another few lines, I simply recommend you to visit the place at least once. Trust me, you will absolutely love it.
